STEP 2: BUILD AMITY

If you have chosen who to express your feelings to, it’s time to build Amity. Show your affections to the NPC through Conversation or by choosing the Give Gift (Express Goodwill) option when you interact (R) with them.
You can increase Amity quickly by gifting Marketplace-registrable items to the NPC (only items worth less than 50 million Silver).
You can find out what the NPC’s “Favorite Items” are. If you gift such an item, you will gain even more Amity.
Gift giving will consume 5 Energy. When Amity the NPC reaches 1,000, the option to “Confess” your feelings will become available.
STEP 3: AWAIT YOUR DESTINY

After you confess, the NPC will need some time to think. You will receive an answer via an in-game mail (B) after the next maintenance.
If the NPC accepts your confession, you will become their lover and earn a special in-game title with a distinct color. However, your Amity with them will decrease by 10%.
If you are rejected, you will get nothing back and Amity will decrease by 5%.
STEP 4: NOTHING LASTS FOREVER

NPC Dating can be enjoyed by all adventurers. Whether you become a couple or not is calculated based on the ratio "How much Amity you have with that NPC"/"The total Amity of all the adventurers who confessed to that NPC the same week."
So, even if you don’t have the highest Amity out of the bunch you still stand a chance! However, the higher your Amity is with the NPC, the better your chances.
Sadly, your newfound relationship may only last a week. Other adventurers can continue confessing and your lover may choose someone else after the week is over. However, if you hold the highest Amity with that NPC, you will be able to maintain your relationship!
So keep on conversing and express your affection to keep your Amity up.
If the NPC decides to break up with you, you will receive a farewell in-game mail.
Keep in mind that you cannot confess to a new NPC while you are in still in a relationship.

If you succeed in winning 5 NPCs over to accept your confession, you will earn the special in-game title “Flirt.”
If you succeed in winning 10 NPCs over to accept your confession, you will earn the special in-game title “Heartbreaker. “

Love often begins with a choice, and in this case, you can set your sights on a variety of NPCs scattered across the game world. From Crio, the Fish Vendor of Velia, to Leona, the Elionian Priest of Calpheon City, each NPC presents a unique opportunity for companionship.
2. Building Amity:
Once you've identified the NPC of your dreams, the next step is to build Amity. This is achieved through engaging conversations and thoughtful gift-giving. Notably, gifting Marketplace-registrable items, especially the NPC's "Favorite Items," accelerates the Amity-building process. Keep in mind that energy is expended during gift-giving, and reaching 1,000 Amity unlocks the option to confess your feelings.
3. Confession and Destiny:
After expressing your emotions, the NPC needs time to deliberate. Your fate will be revealed via in-game mail after the next maintenance. If your confession is accepted, congratulations! You'll earn a special in-game title and become the NPC's lover, albeit with a slight Amity decrease. Rejection, on the other hand, results in a loss of Amity.
4. The Transience of Love:
Enjoy your newfound relationship, but be aware that NPC Dating operates on a weekly cycle. The chance for other adventurers to confess is based on the ratio of their Amity to the total Amity of all confessors. The higher your Amity, the better your chances. However, even if you don't have the highest Amity, there's still hope!
5. Maintenance and Breakups:
Relationships come with challenges, even virtual ones. Expect a weekly maintenance check on your love status. If you hold the highest Amity, you can maintain your relationship for another week. Breakups may occur, and you'll receive a farewell in-game mail.
6. Purpose of Love:
Beyond personal satisfaction, achieving certain milestones in NPC Dating brings special in-game titles. Win over 5 NPCs, and you'll be titled "Flirt." Conquer the hearts of 10 NPCs, and you'll earn the prestigious title of "Heartbreaker."
