That interview comes across as horribly blunt and dismissive - Warren Buffett he ain't.

Also he tries to defend his OCF by comparing to Scottish Mortgage - an IT - meanwhile the practically all of Baillie Gifford funds have OCFs below Fundsmiths.

True, also true that I'd take Fundsmith over almost any BG fund.

The interviewer brought up the comparision to Scottish Mortage and he just answered. The formating of the page is incorrect.

Fees are a contentious point

There is a human thing about Smith getting so much money but I do think he is right what really matters to my pocket is net performance. So, following that train, we should probably be looking at relative performance of Fsmith against fqdn or ggrp where there are similarities in styles.Does his net performance beat passives playing in the same stock universe?

Not convinced Smith is using the right index to demonstrate his performance.

Still I think Fsmith is at an ATH and he seems to be doing ok over the last year for a fund that isn't all in on the Mag 7

My bank balance is how I determine how good or bad a fund manager is performing .

I have read a lot of debate on this forum regarding Mr. Smith .
Those like me who invested at the start of the fund and still in, will have little to complain about.
I don't care about the charges, I make money, Mr. Smith makes money, good luck to him.

I have no direct investment in the M7 my main portfolio is invested in the FTSE which is constantly being slagged off.
According to Google Finance my portfolio increased by-----
6 month performance 16.3%
1 month performance 2.79%
You can make money in your home market.
Update...Having a good morning.
6 month 16.74%
1 month 3.11%

Terrys comment about fee comparison to Scottish Mortgage does not really hold water saying that SMT is bigger ? and is closed ended.

Fundsmith is bigger than Scottish Mortgage and number two if Fundsmith really wanted to they could have a tiered fee system that shares the benefits at the larger fund size . The bottom line is Terry wants the money and it’s better for him to say I’m not reducing the fee because I’m great and I deserve it. , rather than peddling comparisons.

I hold Fundsmith but I do find Terry a bit arrogant on this topic.

In contrast, Nick Train seems like a humble good guy, I find myself investing more money with him than in Fundsmith...

Nick and Lindsell Train are facing a lot of challenges at the moment. I hope his conviction results in the strategy and firm embarking on an upward trend soon, for my sake and other’s who are invested in their funds. :)

2 of his holdings I like , one I still own , the other sold
I took profit on LSEG, this is a play on AI with regard to Refinitiv.
It was a game changer buying Refinitiv and turbo charged the share price.
The other share which I own is Diageo, this hasn't set the world alight but I bought when it fell out of bed and it is slowly climbing back in, don't forget the hot water bottle.
