US private markets firm has a near 50/50 split when it comes to fundraising from institutional and wealth clients.

Blue Owl Capital has already achieved what many other private markets firms are dreaming of: raising a significant chunk of their funds from private wealth clients.
According to its latest earnings statement, the US-based private markets firm raised $8.9bnfrom private wealth investors in 2023, compared with $6.9bnfrom institutional clients.
The group started building its wealth platform eight years ago, alongside its institutional business.It now employs more than 100 people globally, although the majority are based in the US.
