A number of brand new models are among our latest round-up of every LEGO set retiring in 2023, from themes including Minecraft and Marvel – but thankfully not Indiana Jones.
April 2023 is a landmark month for the LEGO Group, bringing with it the return of LEGO Indiana Jones after 14 years, while March saw the reveal of dozens of new sets including a selection for the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park. Suffice to say a lot has happened since our March update to the list of every LEGO model retiring in 2023.
While recent releases and plenty of products still to come may be catching your eye right now, don’t forget these models before they retire for good at the end of 2023. All dates are subject to change, and there is frequent change each month, so check back regularly for updates.
LEGO Star Wars
There are no updates to LEGOStar Wars as none of the recently-revealed models are leaving production at the end of the year. However, this is a good time to pick up some of the Obi-Wan Kenobi sets while new GWPs are available.
Four LEGOIdeas sets are still up for retirement at the end of the year, including the first full Sonic the Hedgehog model – which debuted long before rumours of a theme surfaced.
With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 coming in early May, don’t wait too long to pick up 76253 Guardians of the Galaxy Headquarters. The newly-launched set is retiring at the end of the year, alongside some other massive sets such as 76209 Thor’s Hammer.
With Fast X approaching, the next few months may be a good time to pick up the retiring 42111 Dom’s Dodge Charger or any one of these LEGOTechnic models.
40516 Everyone is Awesome is no longer on this list as its retirement has been pushed back to 2024 at the time of writing. Otherwise, it’s the same as March for LEGOIcons – which means 10497 Galaxy Explorer is still on the way out…
Don’t be too surprised to see 21054 The White House as the sole LEGOArchitecture set on this list again, as there’s nothing new for the theme this month.
LEGOBatman and DC’s selection of builds isn’t huge at the time of writing, and it’s about to get smaller: four of its five currently-available sets are due to retire in 2023.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is almost here and while there are no LEGO sets specifically based on the film at present, the retiring 71412 Big Bad Island could be a good tribute as both Koopas and Goombas appear in the movie.
Out of the currently-unchanged list of retiring LEGODisney sets, 43202 The Madrigal Houseis notable as the only LEGO Encanto set to include full figures, but there are only eight months left to get it.
