Is it possible to trade cards in MTG Arena? ›

Once you have four copies of a no-limit card, it becomes an infinite card. As much as the feature would be incredibly useful, it's not possible to trade cards in MTG Arena. The ability to trade would require there to be no limit on how many cards you can own.

The best way to get wildcards is to open packs. And yes, technically you can spend your hard-earned gold buying those, but why buy packs when you can get them for free!

If you're a limited player you will need to buy gems for drafts at the very least initially. If you want to have a deck of your choice immediately you will buy the packs to get the wildcards. It is perfectly possible to be a competitive constructed player without spending any money.

If you open a card you don't have four copies of, you get the card. If you open the fifth copy of a card, one of two things will happen: If it's a rare or mythic rare card, it'll be replaced by another random rare or mythic rare card from the same set.

All cards are available for trade, even cards you have not yet unlocked! However, they cannot be from higher Arenas. Trading maxed-out cards is still possible. The value of the cards is converted to Gold and Star Points.

Quests are the easiest way to get ahead on MTG Arena. Quests range between rewarding 750 or 500 gold, depending on the difficulty, and every day you also get daily win bonuses, up to 15 game wins, that reward another 750 gold worth of value, plus some random cards that can be anything from commons to mythics.
