Can I get a bank check from Fidelity?
You can request a single check or schedule checks to be sent automatically on specific dates. Checks can be sent to your record address or to your bank account. Your check will arrive five to seven business days after your request is received by Fidelity.
You cannot get a cashier's check from a Fidelity branch. You cannot make cash deposits to your Fidelity account, even at a branch.

For these purposes, Fidelity has established an account with UMB Bank, N.A., a national banking association located in Kansas City, Missouri (the “Bank”), against which your Checks are presented.
Sometimes, if you no longer work for a company, and the amount in your 401(k) is less than $1000, the investment company will automatically disburse the amount to you. In that case, it does have to be reported as taxable income. But it usually does take them a few months to disburse the funds.

You can get a cashier's check by visiting your bank branch or credit union or going to its website if it offers these checks online. If you don't want to use a cashier's check, other options include a money order, certified check, wire transfer, or social payment app.
Although the policy may change from bank to bank, generally there's no upper limit for a cashier's check. The payee typically has quicker access to a larger amount of the funds with a cashier's check.
Cashier's checks are signed by the bank while certified checks are signed by the consumer. Cashier's checks and certified checks are both official checks issued by a bank.

A cashier's check, also known as an official bank check, is a payment instrument issued by a bank or credit union to a third party, usually on behalf of a bank customer who pays the bank the face value of the check.
