The original story campaign The Red War, as well the first three main expansions Curse of Osiris, Warmind and Forsaken, have been vaulted, which means that this content is inaccessible until Bungie decides to reintroduce it. This started in 2020, when Bungie removed almost all of the original Destiny 2 content — including the base campaign — and last year it removed the Forsaken campaign, largely considered the expansion where Destiny 2 truly arrived.
They removed Red War, Osiris and Warmind because Free2Players had too much content to play and Bungie wanted to lock that down ASAP.
All the content currently available in Destiny 2 will remain indefinitely. Bungie previously vaulted the original Red War campaign and the Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and Forsaken expansions. The company claimed this was due to limitations of the game engine and a desire to be more innovative with future adventures.
What it essentially meant was that the DCV would be utilized to cycle select content into it and removing it from the game in order to make way for new content. Bungie just announced that one of the most beloved campaigns, introduced post-launch, Forsaken, will be moved to the DCV along with Tangled Shore.
Actually, Destiny 3 won't be released. Bungie won't have to develop special systems and mechanics to support a new numbered instalment of the franchise, and players won't have to leave their characters or vaults behind.
Destiny 2 director Luke Smith has revealed that the next expansion for the game won't bring back any vaulted content. The director revealed as much in a recent interview with PC Gamer (opens in new tab), on the eve of the Destiny 2: Beyond Light launch.
Attunement of Sky is arguably the strongest PvP spec in Destiny 2, allowing Warlocks to take to the sky with ease. With their perfect in-air accuracy, Warlocks can reign death from on high with their Celestial Fire melee ability or accurate weapons, making the enemy team uncertain of which angles are safe.

Destiny 1 will no longer receive planned game updates or content. Destiny 1 content through Destiny: Rise of Iron will continue to be available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Consoles, however players will have limited access to some Destiny 1 Activities.
Destiny 2 Year 5: Vaulted Locations, Activities, and Items. As for the destinations to be vaulted, the Tangled Shore will be removed entirely from the game, including all of its Lost Sectors and activities, such as Baron Hunts, Public Events, the Broodhold Strike, and The Hollowed Lair Strike.
As of 22nd February, 2022, Forsaken's campaign, the Tangled Shore destination and the bulk of Year 4's seasonal content - including the fan-favourite Presage and Harbinger missions - will be removed from the game.
Xbox Game Pass is removing Forsaken, Shadowkeep and Beyond Light. Witch Queen will arrive and vault the Forsaken campaign and Tangled Shore. Before that, the campaign will be made free for three months, but Destiny will still sell a Forsaken Pack including the dungeon, raid and exotics from that expansion.
To paint a broad picture, all missions, quests, and bounties from the Tangled Shore are leaving, along with those from the Forsaken campaign, and the four Seasons associated with Beyond Light: Season of the Hunt, Season of the Chosen, Season of the Splicer, and Season of the Lost.
