C is a see you next Tuesday, who is now collecting her stuff from dads home on the weekend, woo hoo. She never had to cancel could have had A's hair trimmed or a professional conditioning treatment could have been done. She was upset she no longer had an excuse to chop off the kids hair. The truth came out, dad stepped up and hopefully she is well out of their lives now.

A’s father gave OP his work phone number because C had been screening and deleting messages when they started dating. And he carried on dating her? He must have been so lonely and desperate for a partner that he was ignoring a ton of red flags early on.

I agree with a previous poster that C was really just mad because she wanted to humiliate the girl. Think of the opportunities: at the salon with her hair matted, she probably thought she could bully the styist into giving a bad haircut, when that didn't work, she'd insist on the least flattering cut possible and then have to "fix" it at home, gets to send the girl to school with disastrous hair AND gets to ridicule the girl about how bad her hair was for infinity.It sounds like the dad is tossing the girlfriend and good riddance. He was in no way ready to be in a relationship if he's still incapable of noticing that his daughter can't get a comb through her hair.

I have been through the hair stuff with my own daughter and we always just pick something on TV, I get good detangler, and we power through it. It sounds like the dad had his eyes opened to his girlfriend's s****y behavior and is hopefully kicking her to the curb.

If you want recommendations, get a product for horses off Amazon (you want to search 'mane and tail conditioner'). They come in big spray bottles and are capable of dealing with a coarse, thick, mud-covered mane/tail tangled to hell with twigs and whatever c**p they can roll in. They smell nice too.
