What is the point of no return in Mass Effect 3? ›

The "Point of No return" in Mass Effect 3 refers to the last save point before you can no longer complete Side Missions, shop or improve your Effective Military Strength before the game's end. All Side Missions close after starting Priority: Cerberus Headquarters.

You may of course continue on to play the endgame after completing the Citadel DLC, but there is also a natural “stopping point” that should make it clear where the DLC content ends and your return to the main game begins.

Omega. From there, players should play through the Omega DLC next. This DLC fits well within the game's narrative if it is played after completing the Palaven mission, but should be started after players finish the side quests involving Aria on the Citadel.

Leviathan. Leviathan can be started as soon as Priority: Palaven is finished but I'd recommend waiting until after you finish the story section on Thessia.
