The Path Towards a Six Figure Blog : Make Money Blogging (1)

How many bloggers out there see those super crazy-high blog income reports and think, wow, what would it feel like to make that kind of money?

A million hands just shot up.

Yeah, me too.

I mean, I read reports by Michelle Gardner-Schroeder that show her pulling in $50-100 thousand dollars a month. Yes, you read that right.

A MONTH.

And I can’t even….

Like really, what is that like?

Daydream time – queue the wavy music. I would give SO MUCH MORE to the charities and action networks that I already contribute too. I could pay off my house, have a nicer car, not worry about paying for my kid’s college, take my family on vacations. The list goes on….

Life would be sweet.

So yeah, I’m reaching for a piece of that 6 figure blogging pie.

I’d like an extra fat piece if I’m being honest.

So when Michelle of Making Sense of Cents launched her e-course that teaches bloggers like me how to tap into that sweet sweet affiliate pie, I knew I HAD to take her course. Who else could teach affiliate marketing besides the queen of affiliate marketing herself?

Affiliate Marketing- What is it?

Basically, it’s promoting other people’s products and making a commission from the sale. It costs nothing for you or your reader. Most bloggers participate in some sort of affiliate marketing. However, it can take some figuring out and most bloggers don’t use it to their full advantage.

It seems that Michelle has got affiliate marketing down to a science. If you read her income reports you’ll see that before she launched the course she made $50,000 a month ONLY through affiliate sales. She was not selling her own courses, books, freelancing services, or earning from any of the other ways bloggers make money. She was pulling in that kind of dough simply through affiliate sales.

That’s why I knew I had to take her course, Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing. I figured if anyone could show me how to blast through the confusion and start making affiliate sales quickly, it was her.

It’s been five weeks since I started the course. Within a couple of weeks I doubled the income I made on the blog. My income report for October ($469.41) shows a significant increase in affiliate sales over the previous month ($97.86). Sure, these aren’t six figure blog numbers but that’s still a pretty big jump!

UPDATE *** My affiliate income has grown a crazy amount since writing this post! You can read my income reports HERE.

Those stats alone should convince you that this course is an excellent investment. It’s already paid for itself and then some.

The course itself is very straightforward. Michelle cuts out all of the guesswork and shows you step-by-step EXACTLY how to make money through affiliate marketing.

I will be completely honest and tell you that at first I was not impressed with the course. I was able to read through the entire thing in one night. There are no videos, it is all text based, and I wasn’t super impressed with the worksheets.

However, I decided to go back to the beginning of the course and implement every strategy she suggested. By going back through the course and working slowly and methodically, I was able to start using all the steps she gives in each lesson.

Some of the steps I already knew but there were enough little gems that I didn’t already know to make a world of difference. One little trick alone earned me $50 almost immediately.

So even though I was a bit underwhelmed with the initial presentation of the course, after I went through and REALLY did the course, I can truly recommend it. I think the jump in my income report can back that up.

Also, the private Facebook group that comes with the course has proved to be very valuable. I’ve never been part of a blogging Facebook group that helped me so much.

If you are a blogger or if you have an active following on social media and you’re ready to jump-start your affiliate earnings, give Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing a try. It comes with a 30 day guarantee so if you decide it’s not right for you, no worries.
