Commit yourself to God, set yourself before him in the Word and in prayer. Get to know him, then you will have the faith to move and you will see him act. The more we understand him, his nature and his character, the more apt we will be to step out of the boat towards him.

God can also be trusted because his word is true, and he keeps all his promises (John 17:17; Num. 23:19). Trust God by seeking refuge in His Word

It's tempting to seek refuge in everything other than God's word when you don't understand his plan and purpose for you. But if there's one thing that can help you to trust God when you don't understand, it's choosing to exalt God's word above all else.

We cannot see God, and so it is hard to trust him. Another reason we can struggle to trust God is that we have limited understanding. We see so little when it comes to human history. It is hard for us to know how suffering fits in with God's good plan.

Learning to focus on, in a sense, to “see” the unseen through Scripture is one of the most important steps you can take that will empower you to keep believing and stay true to Him even when everything is going wrong. Heaven, eternal life in God's presence is real.

One of the most powerful examples of trust in God is the story of Abraham. God commanded Abraham to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, as a test of his faith (Genesis 22:1-19). Despite the unimaginable pain and confusion, Abraham trusted God's wisdom and prepared to make the sacrifice.

Trusting God is simply this incredible permission to believe what He says is true about you, to believe that you are enough. To believe that somehow in the miracle of grace, the miracle of what Christ did at the cross and what God did in the resurrection is that He lives in me.

Pray! In Philippians 4:6-7, we are commanded, “Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.
