The motion seats of the 4DX system are programmed to move according to a predetermined sequence during movie screening. As a result, motion seats can cause the following problems:

  • your personal effects (e.g. popcorn, beverages etc.) may be dropped or spilt
  • whilst already being seated, your body and/or clothing may become caught between the seats.

In the case of sensitive viewers:

  • dizziness
  • headache and/or muscle aches during movie screening
  • in extreme cases, epileptic symptoms.

Environmental Effects:

A number of special effects are used during the screening of 4DX movies: wind, scent, foam, liquid, movement, mist, bubbles sound effects etc.

Please, bear in mind that

  • concerning the wind machines, malfunctioning may occur as a result of objects (such as audience member’s personal effects) coming into contact with the machine.
  • concerning the bubble-making devices, contact with your clothing, personal effect and/or leather, silk products may cause injury, damage or stains.
  • water emitted may cause the following: dampen your clothing; for female patrons, spoil makeup and slight odors. Additionally, such water emissions may get onto the 3D glasses. However, the water used in the course of special effects screenings is not likely to cause significant physical harm.

Audience members excluded from screenings

  • In order to uphold high safety standards and prevent accidents involving you from occurring, persons who have the following conditions shall not be permitted entrance:

o epilepsy,
o high blood pressure,
o heart conditions,
o back conditions,
o any type of serious medical condition

  • In addition, it is not recommended

o in case of pregnancy,
o in case of intoxication,
o for children under 4 years of age
o for persons under 100 centimeters.

  • Children between the ages of 4 to 7 years may attend screenings only if they are accompanied by an authorized guardian.
  • Owing to the weight restrictions of seats, persons weighing over 120 kilograms shall not be permitted to attend 4DX screenings.

Matters of Special Concern:

Motion seats:

  • During screening, the possibility of serious injury occurring from the motion chair movements is ever present. For preventative purposes, you are kindly requested to refrain from movement in the chair or exiting the chair whilst screening is in progress.
  • Please, prevent foreign objects, including parts of your body at all times from contact with fan devices used to produce wind effects and any other device used in 4D screenings in order to prevent injury and malfunctioning of equipment.
  • Please, pay special attention to preventing your personal effects or any part of your body from being caught between the chairs and walls/stairs.
  • Please, make sure that your personal articles and food items (especially coffee, tea or any other hot beverages) are adequately secured.
  • If you should drop or spill any item during screening, please, do not exit your seat to recover such items during screening.

Special Effects:

Wind effects may cause loose items such as scarves, hats etc. to be blown away from you, which may lead to malfunctioning of equipment. Consequently, special attention must be paid to such items prone to wind effects. In case such items are separated from you due to wind effects, please, do not try to recover them during the screening.
