Suits is the legal drama that follows a college dropout, Mike Ross, who manages to impress a big lawyer, Harvey Specter, with his eidetic memory and lands a job at a huge law firm. The show, which was critically acclaimed and praised for its well-developed characters and storyline, first premiered on USA Network on June 23, 2011. Its quick-paced plot development and the actor's performances were also praised.

The show was nominated for various awards including the TV Guide Award, and People's Choice Awards, with Gina Torres winning Outstanding Performance In A Television Series at the NHMC Impact Awards and Best Supporting Actress/Television at the Imagen Foundation Awards. Will There Be Season 10 of Suits?

The ninth season of Suits was renewed in January 2019. It was also announced that it would be the final season of the show. At the time, the show was the longest-running original scripted series on USA Network. The ninth season was renewed for ten episodes as opposed to the previous season, which had 16 episodes. The final episode at the end of nine seasons would be 134.

“Suits has played an instrumental role in our network’s DNA for nearly a decade,” Chris McCumber, President of USA Network and SyFy, had said about the decision to end the series. “I and everyone at USA Network sincerely thank Aaron Korsh, our partners at UCP, and the entire Suits family for their tremendous creativity, devotion, and support over a truly amazing run.” The series came to an end after the cast's contract expired and Megan Markle, who played Rachel Zane in the show, became the duch*ess of Sussex. Aaron Korsh, the creator of the series, shared: "Though I know it isn’t true, it seems like only yesterday USA Network took a chance on an unestablished writer’s very first hour-long script. These days that’s a common thing, but forty-seven years ago, when I first wrote the Untitled Korsh Project, nobody did it. Nobody except the people at USA and UCP." He went on to thank the people behind the scenes and added, "And to the exceptional writers, cast and crew – thank you for your passion and devotion, without which, Suits would be nothing. And last but never least, to the fans who have stuck with the Suits family through thick and thin, through can-openers and flashbacks – thank you for always speaking your mind. Without you, I might start to think I’m getting the hang of this writing thing. And once that happens, nobody wins."

Suits Reunion Doing SAG-AFTRA Strike

Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres came together once again, this time on the front lines of the SAG-AFTRA strike, an event that Rafferty captured and shared on her Instagram.

"Joined forces with my dear @iamginatorres on the protest line," expressed Rafferty, renowned for her role as legal secretary Donna Paulsen. "Our reunions were accompanied by heartfelt embraces. Additionally, the return of Mike @halfadams and Meghan as Rachel, exclusively, along with their baby, is a necessity. The brilliance of SUITS demands a continuation; we must unravel the fate of @rickhoffman's character, Louis, and Shelia."

Another commentator jubilantly exclaimed, "Hooray! This sight brings me immense joy! A SUITS reunion is an imperative need!"

Megan Markle's Involvement In Suits Season 10

Should Netflix or another streaming platform opt to resurrect the series, a significant question lingers about Meghan Markle's involvement. Following her marriage to Prince Harry, the duch*ess of Sussex formally withdrew from acting, as she shared with Variety in 2022, stating, "I've closed that chapter. While never ruling anything out entirely, my current intention is to abstain from [returning to acting]."

Although, it's worth noting that Markle has a substantial deal with Netflix, primarily oriented towards non-scripted content. In 2021, Markle and Harry disclosed their inaugural joint venture, named Heart of Invictus, which will chronicle the journey of veterans who participated in Harry's Invictus Games event in 2023.

Aaron Korsh Debunks Rumors Of Suits Season 10

There have been a lot of rumors and speculation surrounding Suits Season 10. This, coupled with silence from the execs, breeds uncertainty. Aaron Korsh however recently took to X to shut down all rumors that Suits Season 10 is in the works. He said:

"Let me say right off that there is no #Suits reboot or anything in the works," he wrote on August 20, 2023. "Strike would have to end, some network or streamer would have to reach out and then we would have to collectively want to. Which is no small thing … "

Now that the strikes have ended, the checklist has become a lot smaller. It's a little more hope but still, the prospects look quite dim.

Suits Spin-Off

Much before the announcement for the conclusion of the show was made, the possibility of a spin-off with Jessica Pearson was making rounds. It was announced that the season seven finale of Suits would serve as a backdoor pilot to the spin-off series. Following the end of Suits, Pearson premiered on July 17, 2019. It follows "powerhouse lawyer Jessica Pearson as she enters the dirty world of Chicago politics." The show was unfortunately canceled after the first season. This mainly had to do with the show's viewership which did not cut the mark.

Korsh later mentioned that Pearson was just one of the Suits Spin-off and he had an idea for another one which followed young Robert Zane. He said:

"I had an idea for a #Suits spin-off that was a prequel exploring young Robert Zane, fresh out of law school in the early '90s. The network wasn’t interested at the time. I would still do that."

Despite Aaron's concerns about the potential return of "Suits" for a tenth season, executive producer Gene Klein holds a different perspective. In a statement provided to TVLine in late July, he expressed his anticipation of receiving news about the show's future sooner rather than later.

"In this age of reboots, reunions, and various other television revivals, I'm prepared for the possibility of receiving a call at some point," he explained. "However, I am not privy to any substantial discussions at the moment. It's a situation where, in the current entertainment landscape, it wouldn't be astonishing if we received a call in the future."

This divergence in viewpoints between Aaron and Gene Klein regarding the potential continuation of "Suits" reflects the ongoing speculation surrounding the show's fate. While Aaron expresses consternation, Gene Klein remains open to the idea, considering the prevalent trend of reboots and revivals in the industry.
