There are some great Rogue Trader galleries going up these days (for example: ) so I thought I'd post some of my own pictures.
Here are some of my Ultramarines from the 2nd Company. In true Oldhammer form, I like to paint them with slight variations to the uniform, embodying the idea that the power armour comes from different eras. Although it is being continually repainted, it would be a sin against the machine spirit to change the design or update the insignia.
And some Eldar Mercenaries.
And finally, some adventurers, to whit: Inquisitor Augustus and the Astropath (both from 1987 I think and some of the first wave of Rogue Trader minis).
If you're interested in my ruminations on the Rogue Trader rules set, I've just put a new post about that on my blog, as well as moar pictures.
Thanks for looking!

Spectacular paint jobs there. So much attention to detail and brilliant shading and highlights. Also beautiful gem effects

Gorgeous painting. Normally Eldar are my thing, but I love the blue on those Marines

Beautiful marines. All those flat spaces are such a pain to shade, and you nailed it. Are you just doing the two or do you have plans for an army?

Very nice job I especially like the eldar; they're quite good with their coloured catapults. The one on the right looks quite exceptional and LOUD, very fitting for an eldar merc. Love to see what you could do with a dreadnought!

The choice of bold colours and the richness of their application is outstanding, really like your painting style!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement! The Ultramarines were some of the first miniatures that I painted when I got back into miniature painting (after a decade long hiatus). As I mentioned in my initial post, I needed to touch them up here and there... but I'm pleased that they've photographed OK.
I don't have plans to do a full army -- all I've got is about a squad and a half -- for use in small skirmish games, and mainly for Space Hulk... ah, Space Hulk... greatest game ever made. (I know Space Hulk is actually for terminator marines, but the squares on the Space Hulk board are so small and the terminators are so big, that to avoid congestion, I always use normal sized marines. Unorthodox, but convenient.)

Very, very pretty! :froth: <--- someone sort that emoticon, please.
Does inquisitor Augustus have buck teeth or is it just his lower lip?

Now that I look closely, it probably is his lip. But I like giving him something odd and distinctive like rodent teeth... you have to be badass to survive as an inquisitor, but you have to be ultrabadass to survive as an inquisitor with buck teeth. It's like a boy named Sue.

Inquisitor Sue Augustus. Thats the sort of depth of character that I like in my toy soldiers

Here is a pic of some other Ultramarines that I've painted (these aren't Rogue Trader models though - just modern plastic marines tarted up in Oldhammer style). I use these fellas as the Sergeants in my Space Hulk squads:

I must say they look impressive. It's all about the painting style, you see. You just made these guys look in the RT mood
