FINANCIAL DISTRICT GUIDE: WHERE TO EAT

Il Brigante:

Our absolute favorite neighborhood spot is this cozy Italian spot. From their wood-fired pizzas to homemade pastas (our favorite is the Rigatoni Funghi!), everything on the menu is incredible. It’s also BYOB which makes it great for group dinners.

Fraunces Tavern:

One of the oldest restaurants and bars in the city (open since 1762!), this historical spot is perfect to bring just about anyone. The cozy dining area is great for when your parents come to town (we love the Chicken Pot Pie) and the old school bar is a fun place to kick off (or end) the night at.

Augustine:

This gorgeous restaurant inside The Beekman Hotel is one of my favorites for a cozy brunch. Everything is super indulgent and a perfect place to escape for any meal.

Adrienne’s Pizza Bar:

In the summer, we love heading to the bustling cobblestone Stone Street and sitting outside at the picnic tables at Adrienne’s with their classic square pizza.

Cowgirl Sea-Horse:

While Cowgirl’s West Village location is our number one spot, we love having another location close by to have a splurge meal of nachos and their frozen prickly pear margaritas.

Luchadores:

This fun Mexican spot is more of a go-to in the summer thanks to their outdoor seating (including the AirStream out front) but they’re a great one to satisfy any taco cravings.

Van Leeuwen:

A weekly favorite, the best/worst thing that could come to the Seaport was our favorite ice cream Van Leeuwen arriving last year! Perfect for even vegans, every flavor on their menu is delicious.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT GUIDE: WHERE TO ORDER TAKE-OUT

Shake Shack:

Can’t resist a Shake Shack order every once in a while and luckily, there’s a location super close by over on Fulton Street.

Suteishi:

Sushi is a weekly go-to and this is a favorite for some classic or unique rolls. Their restaurant is also a fun spot in the summer with their patio seating.

Kuu Ramen:

My apartment loves ramen and found this favorite a few months ago. Super fast and always deliver delicious ramen.

Harry’s:

Our go-to takeout pizza, we love a classic Harry’s square pepperoni pizza on a Friday night!

Westville:

A favorite across the city, their Fidi location is great for brunch on the weekend or ordering any of their classic favorites to go.

Sons Of Thunder:

This poke spot was a favorite uptown and I love how close they are now.

By Chloe:

We were so excited for By Chloe to open this year and its space in the Seaport is a perfect place to grab healthy favorites.

Sweetgreen:

While Sweetgreen truly has taken over New York, this one is a step away from our apartment and an easy go-to during busy weeks.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT GUIDE: WHERE TO DRINK

The Dead Rabbit:

One of the best parts about our neighborhood is having this incredible bar in our neighborhood. Definitely snug, they do serve some of the best co*cktails and always have great music. Their new expansion though allows for more seating but make sure not to miss a drink here if you’re in Fidi.

The Beekman Hotel:

If you’re looking for a place to really wow out of town visitors or a cozy spot to catch up with friends, this is the place. The hotel bar at The Beekman Hotel has chic velvet seating, an expansive co*cktail menu and the entire hotel is swoon-worthy.

Lovelace:

If you love gin as much as I do, this gin focused bar is a favorite for classic British style G&T’s.

Mr. C:

New to the neighborhood, the Bellini bar in the new Mr. C hotel is ultra-feminine with pink accents everywhere and blush blooms. A chic place to grab a glass of champagne!

Pier 17:

Pier 17 is one of our favorite spots to grab a drink and sit outside in the summer thanks to their spacious deck and views of the Brooklyn Bridge. In the colder months, head up to their bar that has incredible views of their rooftop ice rink or inside the new R17 restaurant.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT GUIDE: THE BEST THINGS TO DO

Shop In The Seaport:

The Seaport has opened a ton of new stores, like Sarah Jessica Parker Shoes and 10 Corso Como, so it’s a great spot to wander around before dinner and drinks.

Head To Pier 17:

Pier 17 opened last summer and has been an incredible addition to the area. Overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge, there is a huge outdoor bar, restaurants (a few new ones coming this summer including Malibu Farm and something from David Chang) as well as tons of activities and events happening. We also love the rooftop concerts and outdoor movies they do as well for a fun summer night!

Walk Along The Water:

One of the best parts about living in Fidi is how close we are to the water. My friends and I love walking along the water up to Battery Park and checking out the restaurants and stores near there, all while getting a view of Lady Liberty!
Take A Ferry Ride: Whether you choose to take the free Staten Island Ferry for a great view of the city or head to Dumbo for drinks and dinner, one of the best parts of living in the city is the easy commute via ferry! We also love doing this to head to Rockaway Beach in the summer (just get there early!) since its much more pleasant than the hot subway in the summer.

See A Movie At iPic:

If you’re looking for a chill movie night, iPic offers the most comfortable lounge seating and incredible dining and drinks, all from the movie theater! iPic also a fun speakeasy bar up on their second level that’s a fun place to head to after the movies.
