My dad is a 100% disabled veteran. We are pla... | planDisney (2024)

Hiya Aretha,

Welcome to planDisney! As the child of a retired United States Air Force Colonel, I know that family vacations are so important, and Walt Disney World Resort is such a magical place to spend time together. Please thank your father for his service to this country from me and all your pals here.

It sounds like you are looking for more information on the Disney Military Salute Tickets! At Walt Disney World Resort, Eligible Service Members and their Spouses can purchase Disney Military Salute Tickets (and discount Memory Maker) from their local duty station or the Shades of Green website. Eligible service members include active duty military, reservists, retired veterans (with 20+ years of service), and 100% total and permanent, service-connected disabled veterans. If your father is eligible to purchase Disney Military Salute Tickets, he can purchase up to six Theme Park tickets per year! So your entire family could enjoy your magical vacation together at a special price. The only caveat is that your father would need to be present at the time of purchase and use to show his valid military identification.

I hope this was helpful, Aretha! One last tip, if you can, I highly recommend having your father purchase the Disney Military Salute Tickets through Shades of Green. When you do this, your Theme Park Tickets will arrive already activated and ready to be used (saving you time when you arrive at the park entrances). You will still need to link the tickets to a My Disney Experience account and make Disney Park Pass Reservations for your visit, so don’t forget that crucial step.

I know that was a lot of information, and it may be tricky to navigate. We have several panelists connected to the military and have experience with utilizing these tickets, so if you need more help, please come back and see us.

Happy Planning,

Ashley F.
