Some might argue that Floridians have plenty to brag about.
From the world-class beaches to no state income tax to the fact that we don’t have to deal with snow storms, there’s a lot to be thankful for when it comes to living in the Sunshine State.
But according to a recent study, there are a handful of other states that brag or boast more than Floridians — 18 to be exact.
HeyLets, a new social city guide mobile app, conducted a study to find the most boastful and most humble states in the U.S.
The study looked at how often social media users in each state made self-promotional posts, whether it be bragging about the great weather or boasting about how great their life is.
California tops the list with 77 percent of users frequently engaging in self-promotion.
Florida comes in at No. 19 for the top 20 “most braggadocious” states. Texas ranks 20th, proving that at least the egos of Texans aren’t bigger than the rest.
Utah is the most humble state, according to the study, with only 22 percent of participants admitting to practicing self-promotion. Oregon (26%), South Carolina (33%), Kansas (34%) and Arizona (34%) round out the top five most humble states.
