As RRSP season draws to a close, many younger investors are struggling with the decision of how best to juggle their saving options to take advantage of tax breaks.For many, retirement seems a long way off and it’s more compelling to save for the purchase of a home.Buying a house is the biggest purchase most people will ever make.When I started out as a financial advisor and financial planner, I was helping many of my clients invest and save for their first home.Now, I’m helping their children do the same thing and it is still as exciting for me now as it was then to hear them say ….."Mary I have an accepted offer on a house."Of course the landscape has changed, real estate is very expensive and for now, interest rates are quite high.But there are programs to help people save and reach their dreams.
