Learn how to change photo and signature in PAN Card Online and Offline (2024)

Permanent Account number is a unique alphanumeric code of 10-digit that keeps a record of the financial history of a person. It acts as an identity proof. It is must to have a correct information in the PAN document especially your photograph and signature should be verified. It is essential to have a correct photo and signature in PAN Card for availing credit card, investment or loan. In case you find any discrepancy in photo and signature, you need to follow steps to change photo and signature in PAN Card.

Step 1

Visit to the website of NSDL.

Step 2

Select an option of “Changes or correction in existing PAN Data’’ from the option of “Application Type’’.

Step 3

Select “Individual’’ from the “Category” menu.

Step 4

Now enter the “Applicant Information’’ and click on “Submit”.

Please make a note that after generating the token number, continue with the PAN Application.

Step 5

Select the way to you want to perform the KYC.

STEP 6

Enter other mandate details such as EID/ Aadhar and other details.

STEP 7

Select an option’ Photo mismatch’ and ‘Signature Mismatch’ and enter Mother’s and Father’s detail and click on button “Next’’ to change photo and signature in PAN Card.

STEP 8

Enter of personal details such as contact details and address under the section ‘Address and Contact’.

STEP 09

After filling of personal details, applicant needs to attach identity proof, address proof and date of birth proof. For all these proofs, if an applicant submits a copy of Aadhar card, then all the requirements will be fulfilled. Apart from that, applicant is also required to submit a copy of your PAN allotment letter or your PAN Card.

STEP 10

After that, applicant needs to tick on the ‘Declaration’ and click on’ Submit’ to submit details.

STEP 11

Upload all the scanned copy of document proofs for the purpose of verification.

STEP 12

Applicant needs to review the form and click on “Submit ‘’ to submit all the details and if applicant felt the need of making any changes in form, then can click on “Edit’’ to submit your details.

STEP 13

For making changes in photograph and signature, application fee is Rs 101 inclusive of GST, if the address is within India and for outside India, application fee Rs 1011 inclusive of GST.

STEP 14

You will get a 15-digit acknowledgement number that can be used to track the status of the application

STEP 15

Save the application and take a printout of the same. Send the application with enclosing all documents after taking printout to the address mentioned below:

Passport

Person of Indian Origin card issued by the Government of India

Overseas Citizen of India

Aadhar / E- Aadhar

Elector’s Photo Identity Card

Driving License

Other national or citizenship identification number or taxpayer identification number duly attested by ‘Apostille’

Photo Identity card issued by Central Government or State Government or a public sector undertaking.

Ration card having photograph of the applicant.

Central Government health scheme card

Ex-servicemen contributory health scheme photo

Photograph of the applicant. The PAN card photo size should be 3.5 cm x 2.5 cm or 132.28 pixels x 94.49 pixels. It is must to affix photo under these dimensions only.
