Our mission
The British High Commission in Kingston works to build on the UK’s strong engagement with Jamaica and allies in the Caribbean to achieve UK national and foreign policy objectives and offer consular support to British nationals in Jamaica and the Bahamas.
We support trade and British companies seeking to do business in the region, help develop the economy and its ability to adapt to the challenges of climate change and natural disasters; increase security and tackle organised crime and grand corruption.
We also work to enhance trade and investment for mutual prosperity, promote shared values in international fora, and support a range of initiatives for mutual resilience and cooperation.
All of these efforts are geared towards deepening the UK’s modern partnership with Jamaica and addressing key challenges in the region, together.
