How do you vacation in a residential world in The Sims 4? ›

When players return to their Active Household, they can open a Sim's phone and choose Take a Vacation, located in the Travel menu. Players can select the world they want to visit from the menu, then select the rental property and the number of days they want to stay on vacation.

Paid Time Off

To take a day off, simply go to the “Household” section of your phone. If it is a workday, the option “Take Vacation day (Name of Career)” will appear. Select that option and you'll use up a vacation day but won't have to go to work.

Vacation Days

To take a vacation, open the cellphone of a Sim you want to send. On the Travel tab (the round button with a car icon), you can find the Take a Vacation… option.

This means that Mount Komorebi won't be the only exotic place for your Sims to Vacation in. If, for example, you have The Sims 4 Island Living Expansion Pack installed you'll be able to create your own Rental Lot and send your Sims to vacation in the world of Sulani!

Sims can go on vacation with up to seven other Sims only through their phone or computer's "Take a Vacation" function. For some reason, children can also initiate vacations through the computer. At least one rental lot is required in the world so that Sims have a place to stay.
