How can I enable or disable biometric authentication for the TD Bank app?

If you use an iPhone®(5s or newer) or a biometric-enabledAndroidTM device*, first make sure you already have biometric authentication set up in your device's settings. Then the next time you log into the TD app, it will detect this and prompt you with the option to enable it for subsequent logins.

It only takes a few quick steps to activate the feature for the TD app:

  • Log in with your password
  • Follow the prompt to accept the Terms
  • Validate your biometric authentication
  • Subsequent logins will prompt you for your biometric authentication instead of your password

You can also think about it and decide later – it's always available under Settings in the app's main menu for enabling or disabling.

Important: If you share your device, we do not recommend setting up biometric authentication for logging in to the TD app. Biometric authentication can only be set up for a single TD user name on an eligible device. But keep in mind, anyone with biometric authentication saved on your device will have access.

*Face recognition-only Samsung devices are not currently compatible with TD Bank app biometric authentication.
