We are doubling our support for women- and minority-owned businesses to address key barriers faced by those business owners and their communities through lending, investing, giving and engagement. We continue to focus on small business lending overall as the engine of growth in communities across our footprint.

We are committed to be our clients’ lead partner in the transition to a net zero future. We are mobilizing $300 billion in support of sustainable finance and driving solutions to sustainability challenges through our $250 million Impact Fund and the BMO Climate Institute.

We are focused on providing access to opportunities and enabling growth for our colleagues, our customers and the communities we serve through our Zero Barriers to Inclusion 2025 strategy. We are committed to supporting equity, equality and inclusion and to building a more just society – especially for groups facing systemic barriers.

We take a risk-based approach to managing E&S risk and it is a part of our Enterprise-wide Risk Management Framework (ERMF). We may indirectly be exposed to financial loss or reputational harm if our customers, suppliers or clients are affected by E&S risk. Where heightened risk is identified, our enterprise and credit risk management frameworks outline enhanced due diligence, escalations and exceptions processes to allow for consideration of specific client relationships.
