Milton Hershey owned many area companies, and created the Hershey Trust Company four years before founding Milton Hershey School in 1909. The company serves to administer, support, and fund the school’s trust.Profits from the Hershey entities are used to support the school. Today, the trust totals over $16 billion.

The mission to serve even more children continues to grow! In 2020, we announced the creation of Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning, a subsidiary of MHS focused on early education for lower-income children.
