Actually, my rating is a -10. I did not ever get back $35 for my first-time purchase. Harbor Freight said Synchrony was supposed to give the credit, and they said it was Harbor Freight that was supposed to give credit! I sent them a Western Union money order, and they cashed it but didn't post it to my account. I had to track the money order for $15. They issued a late charge and would not reimburse me for my time (at least 2 hours) and cheated me out of the $15 tracking fee. This bank hires incompetent people and disappoints me. I just cancelled this worthless credit card company. Cheated is not what I said.

First time using this card and I immediately canceled it. "No interest" is definitely a lie and very misleading. I sent my payment at least a week early and because it takes them "7-14" days to process, then I got penalized with interest and late fees!

The "no interest" claim is a lie—nothing more, nothing less. Every month, there is a charge of $2.00 for "minimum interest". That hardly meets the claim.

So I had a $1,000 limit. I fell on hard times. They still got paid on time and the amount they asked for. Then they wanted to reduce my limit to $100. My credit score never changed. But oh well, I won't be shopping there anymore. I'll pay off the remaining balance and shred the card.

First, I love Harbor Freight, but I hate their card. My card is through Synchrony Bank, which is the worst I've dealt with.
My bank account was closed due to fraud, so I opened a new account, called, and made the missed payment with the new account.
I received notice that the payment was returned. I called and they confirmed that their agent wrote the number incorrectly, but they corrected it.
However, now they have closed my account because of two late payments. Huh? They said they will review it and I'll hear back in 30 days.

Nearly every time that I make a payment, my credit limit is reduced buy a similar amount. This effects credit worthiness! I wish I used my AMX or other card instead. Every letter or correspondence includes something regarding an attempt to collect a dept as if a collection company is contacting me. I am current and paying as agreed or better. There is Zero customer service and I will be paying off my card early and not waiting for the 18month offer. This card company sucks and I want nothing to do with them. Please consider a different way to pay for your purchases.

I had a harbor freight credit card. I never missed a payment. I was never late on a payment but my account was closed and my FICO score went down 75 points. The reason given for closing my account was that my bank refused payment of a monthly bill. I was never advised of this and I was not delinquent or late. Synchrony just closed my account and reported to the credit Bureau that the grantor of the credit requested that the account be closed.
I can't get this fixed. Even though the credit Bureau reports my account in good standing. DO NOT APPLY FOR A HARBOR FRIEGHT CREDIT CARD. This company uses Synchrony bank for its credit cards. My credit rating went from good to poor overnight due to an error.
