How does guild work? ›

Through Guild's payment technology, employers directly pay learning partners so employees don't have to pay tuition out of pocket. More than 90% of our Learning Marketplace learners incur no cost from tuition, textbooks, or fees.

Guild, formerly known as Guild Education, is a private company headquartered in Denver, Colorado that is employed by Fortune 1000 companies to manage their education assistance benefits.

Guild missions are weekly challenges for your guild. The currently available missions are listed in the Guild Missions tab of your guild panel. Select the mission you want to run and start it; you'll then have a limited amount of time to complete its objectives.

The majority of Guild's revenue is generated from universities that reallocate the money typically spent on advertising for access to Guild's qualified candidates pool, technology, payments and student services.

Guild Group now includes five financial and professional services companies encompassing a comprehensive Shared Services team to support all businesses within the Group: GUILD INSURANCE provides business insurance, professional indemnity, home & contents and car insurance.

All guild members are expected to be respectful and polite when dealing with other members of the community. Griefing, interfering with other players, and otherwise being a jerk is not permitted.

TUITION IS DEFERRED

If you're eligible to use tuition assistance, the school will defer the due date of your tuition along with any other expenses that your employer is covering. In other words, your employer won't pay the bill until the end of your course — so don't worry if you see a balance in your account.

Structure and social role

Assemblies of the guild's members enjoyed some legislative powers, but the control of guild policy lay in the hands of a few officials and a council of advisers or assistants. The guild tended to be an extremely hierarchical body structured on the basis of the apprenticeship system.

Do guilds exist today? Guilds as they existed in Medieval Europe no longer exist in the same form today. However, there are many modern organizations, such as trade unions, that have similar functions or can trace their roots back to the guilds of the past.
