Routine Care Add-On
Figo provides an exclusive policy add-on for wellness coverage called “Wellness-Plus Powerups.” By opting for this feature at an extra monthly cost, policyholders gain access to various benefits.
Included in this coverage are wellness exams, vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures, teeth cleaning, flea and parasite prevention, various tests (such as blood panel, fecal, heartworm, urinalysis, and FeLV), microchipping, health certificates, deworming, and dental treatments.

Physical Examinations
The benefit schedule corresponding to the tier of your selected plan determines the reimbursem*nt limit for wellness benefits.
Per-incident copays, deductibles, and co-insurance do not apply to wellness claims. Alongside the wellness rider, Figo presents supplementary riders called Extra Care packs, which encompass:
- Coverage for Office Visits and Exam Fees encompasses expenses related to physical examinations, including charges for telephone consultations.
- The coverage for Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy includes expenses associated with rehabilitation sessions and physical therapy treatment
- Holistic and Alternative Medicine and treatments for behavioral problems, including related training sessions or diagnostics, are not covered by default. However, you can opt for the optional Holistic and Alternative & Behavioral Problems coverage to include these services.
- Final Respect coverage includes expenses for air ambulance and non-emergency ground pet ambulance transportation and disposing of a pet’s remains. These services are only covered if you purchase the optional Final Respects Coverage, as indicated on the Policy Declarations Page.
- Boarding Fees Coverage includes expenses related to boarding your pet. This coverage is not included by default unless you opt for the optional Boarding Fees Coverage, as indicated on the Policy Declarations Page or as part of a Medically Necessary Treatment.
Figo Pet Insurance Waiting Period
Upon enrolling in Figo Pet Insurance, a mandatory waiting period precedes the activation of your coverage, with the duration varying across providers. Figo Pet Insurance, like others, imposes different waiting periods depending on the type of incident for which you require coverage.
- For accidents, the waiting period is one day.
- For illnesses, it’s 14 days.
- Cruciate ligament injuries, hip dysplasia, and orthopedic conditions all have a waiting period of six months for dogs.
How it Works
Figo Pet Insurance operates worldwide, allowing you to visit any licensed veterinarian. Like many other Figo Pet Insurancef plans, Figo reimburses a portion of covered veterinary expenses for your pet’s unforeseen accidents, injuries, and illnesses once you’ve met your deductible.
Filing a Claim
- You have 180 days to file a claim with Figo.
- On average, claims are reimbursed within seven days.
- Reimbursem*nts can be received via direct deposit or check.
- While Figo aims to process claims within 7-10 business days, they guarantee completion within 30 days.
- Direct deposit through ACH is available to expedite reimbursem*nt directly into your bank account.
Figo Pet Insurance Cost
Figo Pet Insurance can be as affordable as $1.50 per day for Accident & Illness coverage for certain policyholders. However, actual pricing is determined by your pet’s breed, age, zip code, and the coverage options you choose. To obtain an accurate price estimate, requesting a custom quote is necessary.

Enrollment Requirements
The minimum age for enrollment is eight weeks. A medical review is conducted when you file your first claim, during which records are requested. Your pet must reside with you at the valid United States address you provide as the primary address for your insurance provider. Additionally, there is a one-time enrollment fee.
