Edit a quote | Help (2024)

A quote is a document that allows guests to view potential costs for a stay.

You can edit a quote to change rental dates and rates, add extra fees, specify sales and lodging taxes, and include damage protection. Quotes are only editable before the guest makes a payment.

Note:If you're on the Pay-Per-Booking model, your quote will always include a payment request.

To edit a quote:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. SelectInbox.
  3. Select Filters.
  4. Select Inquiry or Booking request under Reservation.
    • You can also enter the guest's name or reservation ID (Res ID) into the search bar.
  5. Select a reservation.
  6. Select Edit quote.
  7. Edit theRental amountorPayment scheduleas needed.
  8. SelectReview.
  9. Add a message to the guestif needed.
  10. SelectPre-approveorUpdate quote, depending on the booking status.

Edit for a length of stay discount

If you have length of stay discounts (weekly or monthly) set up in your Rates, they’re not automatically suggested in the rental amount when you edit a quote. You’ll need to manually adjust the rental amount to apply the discount to the new quote.

Edit for payment installments

If you're updating a quote, the payment schedule may change in some situations. If you've set your payment terms up to require payment in one installment, you can't modify your terms to require multiple installments. This is to ensure you get the full payment before the guest arrives.

If the stay is further out, you can edit the schedule to your preferred payment terms before sending out a new payment request.
