Originally started by Olivia Firth of Eco-Age, the #30wearschallenge is a way for regular people like you and me try to do something positive and embrace a more sustainable fashion industry. The #30wearschallenge is all about wearing every piece of clothing you buy at least 30 times.

The Institute describes it as a “sufficiency wardrobe”, and it should be made up of six outfits for work (with up to four items per look), three pieces for home lounging, five sports outfits, four outdoor jackets and two party looks.

According to a 2022 survey, 18 to 24 year-olds, the youngest age group polled, are the most likely to buy products from a brand that has strong ethical and sustainable credentials. Less than half of people aged 65 and over said that they would be more likely to buy from an ethical retailer.

The target audience for fast fashion is consumers aged between 18 and 24, while women and young girls consume fast fashion more than any other demographic group.
