The Outlook for Android app offers secure access to emails, calendars, and contacts directly on your mobile device.

NOTE: You need a device running Android 4.0 or later; task access is unavailable within the app.

  1. Visit the GooglePlay website to install and open the Outlook for Androidapp.
  2. Tap Get Started.

  3. Enter your College user name followed by @academic.rrc.ca, and then tap Continue.

  4. On the Sign-in page, your student email address should pre-fill. Just enter your password, and tap Sign in.

  5. If prompted to add another account, tap Skip in the bottom left corner.

  6. A brief overview of Outlook will appear. You can read through by tapping the arrow in the bottom right or skip by tapping Skip in the bottom left.

  7. Once your inbox opens, you will have access to several features:
    • Tap the calendar Connect to student email using Outlook app – Android (6) icon at the bo; tapright-hand side.
    • Tap the hamburger Connect to student email using Outlook app – Android (7) icon on the top left‑hand side to see your email folders.
    • Tap the gear Connect to student email using Outlook app – Android (8) icon on the bottom left‑hand side to see your email settings.

NOTE: If you are not redirected to the RRC Polytech log-on page, you can manually add your student mailbox to your device by following these steps:

  1. Enter your College email address.
  2. Click Go.
  3. Click the question mark on the top right-had side if it does not immediately take you to the log-on page.
  4. Click Change Provider.
  5. Click Exchange.
  6. Enter the mail server as mail.academic.rrc.ca.
  7. Enter the domain as your email address, username@academic.rrc.ca.
  8. Enter your password.
  9. Enter a description, “school” for example, if you like.
  10. Click Sign In.

Add an account

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Tap the gear icon on the bottom left‑handside.

  3. Tap + Add account.

  4. Tap Add an email account.

  5. Enter your email address, and tap Continue.

  6. Tap Next.

  7. Enter your password, and tap Sign in.

  8. Tap Allow.

    Your newly added email address will display under Accounts.

Delete an account

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Tap the account you would like to delete.

  3. On the bottom of the Account info window, tap Delete Account.

  4. Confirm this is the account you want to delete, and then tap Delete.
