2023 Citibank Personal Loan Review

Citibank personal loans are a good option for people with good or excellent credit. They offer competitive APRs, at 10.49% - 19.49%, and up to $30,000 in funding. These loans are only available to people with an existing Citibank account (checking, savings, money market or CD). In addition, personal loans from Citi are a bit harder to get than average, as the minimum credit score required is reportedly 680, compared to 660 for many competing lenders.

Citibank has a bit of a stained reputation, with an F rating from the BBB and over 560 complaints about their personal loans with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. You should take time to look through some user reviews and weigh them against Citi’s good personal loan terms before applying.

I applied in-store for the card to purchase a high-ticket item. I received the bill before I received the card. I put the bill aside until I got the card. It was getting close to my due date, so I thought I would call and get help with the card not arriving. Point of note, you cannot sign onto your account until you activate the card, which I did not have. I called and tried to get a card ASAP, but they told me I would not receive it until after the due date and would be charged interest. They said I could pay over the phone now, but I had to give them my routing number and my checking account number over the phone to the person I was speaking to. Who in the world does that? I will see if I can argue it at a later date when I get my card, but what a pain in the backside. Don't get the card!

My parents have a Citibank credit card that they almost never use. One month they received a bill for over $11,000. All the charges were made on the same day. Six of the nine charges were all in the same amount and all to the same vendor in the UK. They called Citibank immediately as these were not their charges. Citibank turned this over to their fraud department, and I was certain it would be resolved. However, Citibank has come back and told this very elderly couple, who don't use a computer, apps on their phone, or have they ever been abroad, that these charges are their responsibility. My parents are so upset. I helped them call Citibank because this is so obviously fraud, and they reopened the fraud investigation only to tell them again that they made these charges. I assure you they did not. I am so disappointed in how this is being handled. I will tell anyone never to use Citibank.

Worthless, the worst, most unethical credit card division I have ever dealt with. Will sign you up for promotions that you haven't signed up for, and the fraud protection and verification that they run is ridiculous; definitely not an industry best practice. If you want a safe and reliable card, even if it costs more, go with Amex—you get what you pay for!

Beware, their customer service is bad, bad, bad. I used the no-interest for 24 months offer at Home Depot. I paid it off three weeks before it was due to expire. Somehow, their computer deducted the $9,000 I owed twice from my bank account. I have been on the phone with them all morning trying to get the double payment corrected. I talked with four different people, and they say it will take at least 10 days to reverse the charge. I can move money with a click on my computer, but the bank that took an extra $9,000 from my account needs more than two weeks to fix their mistake. I won't be going back to Home Depot again.

Overall, the best credit cards that I have started off with a $4200 limit. After having it for 4 months, they increased it to $5700. Thank you, Citibank. Keep up the hard work.

Excellent credit card, no hassles, never suspended. Mostly paid in full when received. Very attentive people, one time when we were there for an inquiry.

The credit card service for the Home Depot credit card, serviced by Citibank, is beyond terrible. The online IT system simply doesn't work, and making payments will drive you insane. If you are transferred to a different operator, you will have to repeat your personal information each and every time. When I could not create an online account so that I could actually pay my bill, their operators simply could not help. The frustration you will experience is not worth any discount they offer. Simply take your business elsewhere rather than getting the Home Depot Credit Card.

Applied for a new business credit card for my LLC. My credit score (for many years) is very high, >839, and zero debt. Perfect payment history, no public records, liens, etc. Almost zero credit utilization (I pay my bills in full, every time, all the time). Yet, I'm declined. Their excuse? "Too many inquiries". In fact, there is one (1) inquiry for the past three years. I attempted to resolve this with them, and their answer? "Apply again" (thus adding another inquiry - the very reason they gave to decline). The staff at their executive offices are arrogant, condescending, and rude.

Citibank is constantly lowering my credit limit, making my card look like it's maxed out, which affects my credit score. This practice should be illegal. I will be paying off all three of my Citibank credit cards and never using them again. Thank you so much, Citibank. I hope all your customers follow my lead.

You can find the Citi Double Cash Card login page on Citi's website. Everyone who has a Citi account can log in to manage their account there. There is no separate page for a Citi Double Cash Card login.

You can also access the Citi Double Cash Card login page from the Citi mobile app, which you can get for free for both iOS and Android. This is probably the most convenient way for you to manage your account on the go. You'll just...
