Access Account Package1

Citibank has 3 everyday checking accounts:

  • Access Account Package
  • Basic Banking Package
  • Citibank Account Package

There are also 3 premium checking packages:

  • Citi Priority Account Package
  • Citigold® Account Package
  • Citigold® Private Client

The Access Account Package¹ has a Monthly Service Fee of $10, which you can avoid by doing one of the following:

  • Make one enhanced direct deposit or one qualifying bill payment per statement period.
  • Maintain a combined average monthly balance of $1,500+ in eligible linked accounts.

There are no paper checks offered with this account, and no minimum deposit is required to open an account.¹

Basic Banking Package2

Basic Banking Package has a Monthly Service Fee of $12, which you can avoid by doing one of the following:

  • Make an enhanced direct deposit and one qualifying bill payment per statement period.
  • Maintain a combined average monthly balance of $1,500+ in eligible linked accounts.

Enhanced direct deposits include electronic ACH deposits of payroll checks, pension benefits, Social Security and other government benefits, and other payments to your account. Zelle deposits and ACH person-to-person payments made via Venmo or PayPal also qualify.

Qualifying payments include payments made through Citibank® Online, CitiBusiness® Online and Citi Mobile®.

There is no minimum opening deposit required.²

Citibank® Account Package3

The Citibank® Account links together all eligible accounts. You’re allowed one checking account in The Citibank® Account package.

This account has a Monthly Service Fee of $25, which is waived if you maintain a combined average monthly balance of $10,000+ in eligible linked deposit, retirement, and investment accounts.

ATM fees for this account are $2.50 per withdrawal for non-Citibank ATMs. The Monthly Service Fee and Non-Citibank ATM Fee are waived if you maintain $10,000 in all eligible accounts.³

Checking account fees

Citi Priority Account Package4

The Citi Priority Account Package is a preferred banking package that must be opened with a checking account. There is a $30 monthly service fee, which can be waived if you:

  • Maintain an average monthly balance of $30,000 or more in eligible linked deposit, retirement, or investment accounts.

Additionally, the Citi Priority Account Package charges no fees for:

  • Non-Citi ATM withdrawals
  • Stop payments
  • Incoming domestic and international wire transfers
  • Deposited checks returned unpaid

Citi Priority Account customers also enjoy fee waivers on select Citi investment products.4

Citigold® Account Package5

The Citigold® package is designed for customers who maintain higher balances in their checking accounts. This account has no Monthly Service Fee, but it does require you to maintain a minimum combined monthly average balance of $200,000 in eligible linked deposit, investment, and retirement accounts.

Citigold® Account members pay no fees for:

  • Non-Citi ATM transactions
  • Deposited checks returned unpaid
  • Stop payments
  • Incoming domestic and international wire transfers
  • Outgoing online domestic wire transfers

Other account benefits include access to a personal wealth relationship manager, financial guidance through Citi Wealth Advisor, and preferred pricing and rates on select products and services.5

Checking account fees 
Citigold® Private Client5

The Citigold® Private Client account has no monthly service fee. However, the account does require a monthly average balance of $1 million or more across linked deposit, retirement, and investment accounts.

Private Client customers also pay no fees for:

  • Non-Citi ATM transactions
  • Stop payments
  • All incoming and outgoing wire transfers
  • Deposited checks returned unpaid

The Citigold® Private Client also allows for higher daily ATM withdrawal and debit card purchase limits.5

Savings account fees 
 Access Account

You can open associated Citi® Accelerate Savings6 accounts for every type of checking account at Citibank. When the two are linked, a combined monthly service fee applies. Some of the other fees Citi charges are eliminated altogether.

The Monthly Service Fee for an Access savings account that is not linked to a checking account is $4.50. You can avoid the monthly service fee when the average monthly savings balance is $500 or more.6

The monthly service fee for a Citi® Accelerate Savings Account6 that is not linked to a checking account is $4.50. Again, the fee is waived when your average monthly savings balance is $500 or more.6

The Citibank® Account Package charges a $25 monthly service fee. The fee is waived when you maintain an average monthly balance of $10,000 across linked Citi deposit, investment, and retirement accounts.6

Each of these accounts require you to open a savings account with a checking account. As such, there is no separate monthly service fee that applies to savings accounts.6

ATM fees

The ATM withdrawal fee for a non-Citibank ATM is $2.50 per withdrawal in the United States for customers with Access Account, Basic Banking, or Citibank® Account packages. The non-Citibank ATM fee is waived for Citi Priority Account packages, Citigold® Account packages, and Citigold® Private Client.1-5

This fee can be waived if you maintain a balance of $10,000 or more in a Citibank® Account package.3

Stop payment fees

Stop payments come with a fee of $30 per item for applicable Citibank accounts. These fees are waived for Citi Priority, Citgold®, and Citigold® Private Client customers.1-5

Wire transfer fees

Incoming wire transfers cost $15, and outgoing wire transfers come with a fee ranging between $25 and $45 depending on your account and the transfer account location. These fees may be waived in part or in full for Citi Priority, Citigold®, and Citigold® Private Client customers.1-5
