Independence High School

Our newest high school will offer both IGCSE and AS courses next year. Independence comes to the Cambridge schools with a deep history of global teaching. We are excited to see how far this Eagle will fly!

Hopewell High School became a Cambridge International School in 2015, and has led not only our district but the North Carolina in welcoming the Cambridge Program. We are a full Cambridge School with all of our honors courses using the IGCSE curriculum and teaching philosophies, as well as offering thirteen AICE courses.

West Meck High School is proud to be the second Cambridge Program in a North Carolina Public School. As we continue to add new courses and build our teachers and administrators knowledge we are so excited to see our students grow and prepare for the future.

We would like to welcome Julius L. Chambers to the Cambridge Family of International Schools. This is our first year introducing the program to our students and community. Palisades High School

Palisades High School just completed its first year! They began with a cohort of students in the 22-23 school year and are adding their second cohort of students this Fall, now including students in both ninth and tenth grade. We are excited to offer our students both IGCSE and AS courses their first year out!

The Cambridge Program is open to all students who are working hard and wish to push themselves. We ask that you are eligible to take an honors level course in CMS (a C or better in the pervious course) and that you are a hard worker, a collaborator, and willing to try new ways of learning. Talk to your site coordinator, your teachers, and your school counselors about taking Cambridge IGCSE courses or an AS course for the opportunity to earn college credit. If you are interested in the AICE Diploma and are currently a freshman or sophom*ore talk to your site coordinator to create a schedule that will help you reach this goal. This is a program that fits your needs and your goals.

International General Certificate of Secondary Education Courses (IGCSE)

Our IGCSE Courses allow students the opportunity to gain important insights into the teaching style of Cambridge as well as preparation for the more advanced AICE courses. They are honors level and offer a GPA boost of .5, except for foreign languages 1 and 2.

AICE courses offer the opportunity for our students to earn college credit and the ability to earn an International Diploma with passing grades.
