Anchor Capital believes the fixed-income market is fraught with risk and danger at the moment.

‘There’s a heck of a lot going on in the bond market right now. Anchor does not hold any [fixed income] exposure to SA Taxi, Bridge Taxi [Finance], and Sasfin,’ Anchor co-CIO Nolan Wapenaar said during a Boutique Collective Investments (BCI) event.

He was referring to the financial troubles that Transaction Capital’s SA Taxi and Bridge Taxi Finance face and the R4.9bn claim that the South African Revenue Service has brought against Sasfin Bank.
