What happens if you don't pay American freight? ›

Yes, American Freight can sue you. American Freight can hire a lawyer to file a breach of contract lawsuit against you for the underlying debt, fees, and costs.

Items purchased at American Freight stores or American Freight's website are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange after pick-up, delivery, or installation has been completed. ALL SALES ARE FINAL, except as provided in our return policy, available here, or otherwise required by applicable law.

Items purchased from American Freight Stores can be cancelled prior to pick-up or delivery. Special Order on any product type cancelled before pick-up or delivery are subject to a restocking fee.

So there are a few different things that can happen when you return something. While some items, like clothing, can sometimes be thoroughly inspected and - if in pristine condition - put back on shelves for resale, other items, like beauty products, are simply gonna be destroyed.

Contact the retail company directly about a refund.

Explain that you would like a refund for the late (or missing) package. Even if the shipping company is at fault, your order was with the retailer, and the company should be responsible for the shipment arriving on time.
