Forbes released on 11 October its 2022 list of World's Best Employers, and at 740th place is Philippine conglomerate Aboitiz Equity Ventures.
Aboitiz, with over 35,000 employees, is a conglomerate engaged in power, banking and financial services, food, infrastructure, land, data science and artificial intelligence, and other investment activities.
Explaining its methodology, Forbes said it compiled the sixth annual edition of the list in partnership with market research company Statista. "To compile this ranking, Statista surveyed 150,000 full-time and part-time workers from 57 countries working for multinational companies and institutions to determine which ones excel in corporate impact and image, talent development, gender equality and social responsibility.
"Participants were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their employers to friends and family and to evaluate other employers in their respective industries that stood out either positively or negatively. This year's list comprises 800 companies that received the highest scores."
The recognition that it is one's of the world's best employers reaffirms that Aboitiz is indeed, as its website says, "one of the best-managed companies in the Philippines and in the region… consistently cited for its commitment to good corporate governance and corporate social responsibility."
