One of Focus Financial Partners’ largest affiliates has a new head of its advisory ranks.

The Colony Group has promoted Sheila Ryan to the role of president of Colony Wealth Management. She’ll be responsible for day-to-day oversight of the Boston-based RIA’s roughly 150 advisors. That figure will grow to roughly 175 advisors after $30bn Colony finishes absorbing its most recent acquisition, $10.4bn , a fellow Focus affiliate.

Ryan was technically promoted to the role on January 1st of 2024, but is slowly phasing into the new role as Colony co-founder and managing director Stephen Sadler transitions into retirement. She’ll report to Colony co-president Zinovy Iosovich.
