This cozy beach town has the charm of a bygone era with an old-fashioned boardwalk, locally-owned cafes, and boutiques with a strong and organized community. There are year-round events and activities that make Rehoboth Beach a perfect destination, even outside of the beach season. We have frequented Rehoboth Beach and other Delaware beaches for years. We have done summer-long group beach houses and off-season weekend trips as a couple. After so many of our own trips, we know the town of Rehoboth Beach inside and out. You can have a different experience in Rehoboth Beach from one month to the next, but you will love it any time of year. We can’t stress enough that this guide gives you an average price. Almost all of these properties use dynamic pricing so what you pay will ebb and flow based on demand. This means that in July can end up paying two times the average price that we have listed. In that same way, you can end up paying less if you plan an off-season getaway and stay in one of these gorgeous properties for under $40 a person per night.

I’ve celebrated a few New Years in Rehoboth and it’s always been a great event with restaurants and bars full of people. While it’s nothing like a summer holiday weekend, there are plenty of people in town and it almost feels like a reunion.

Other winter weekends are less busy, but it means you’ll have good service, and every cafe, shop, and restaurant staff are excited to see you. The winter months are also fun to rent a nice home to just chill. Board games, hot chocolate, or a glass of wine make a great winter getaway in Rehoboth Beach.

Most restaurants remain open all through the winter, so you can easily walk in and get a table at Dogfish Head Brewery or The Pines.

Springtime is one of the most lovely times to visit Rehoboth Beach. You catch the beginning of the good weather without the crowds and parking tickets that arrive in mid-May. It’s much easier to get around by car, most of the seasonal shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants are fully open and you can enjoy the town in a way that isn’t possible during the peak of summer.

Airbnb prices are usually lower in the spring, which makes it possible to find an affordable early deal on a group home. We have planned many spring Rehoboth Beach trips for friends’ April birthdays. While the water is still cold, we have almost always made it to the beach and can even layout when it’s sunny. Whether you stay beachfront or a few blocks away, you can drive to the beach without needing a parking pass and still enjoy off-season rates – it’s a win-win.

As you’d expect, the peak season is July and crowds diminish outside of the summer months. From the beginning of May onward, more and more visitors head to Rehoboth Beach. The tiny oceanside town booms for Memorial Day weekend at the end of May and there’s a consistent flow of visitors until Labor Day in early September.

This is the prime time to book an Airbnb in Rehoboth Beach. You should be prepared to spend a little more money per night and BOOK EARLY, especially for large group houses. During holiday weekends (Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day) this is especially true – it’s just a matter of supply and demand.

If you’re visiting as a family vacation, this may not be as important to you, but we personally love an Airbnb in the summer months because after-party culture is big in Rehoboth Beach. Since the bars close at 1 AM, it’s super nice to have a place to go back to for a nightcap and a hotel just isn’t the same.

Just like visiting Rehoboth in the spring, the autumn months mean smaller crowds with just as much fun. The town feels different and almost more personal and authentic in the shoulder seasons. September is possibly the best month to visit Rehoboth because the weather is still fantastic and the ocean water is warmer than in early summer. Best of all – you have the beach almost completely to yourself.

In the fall months, you can also park your car without worrying about a parking pass and you’ll find good deals on your Airbnb homes in Rehoboth Beach. The annual Sea Witch Festival a popular weekend to visit and Halloween in Rehoboth Beach is always a blast.

Adelmare is located one house from the boardwalk on Lawrence Street at the southern end. The home is one block from scenic Silver Lake and mere steps from the famous Poodle Beach.

It literally has an elevator, a roof deck terrace, a private pool, and a hot tub. When you travel into downtown Rehoboth you can use an Uber because the price is great for a large group house. You enter through the foyer with a wet bar and elevator. In the living room, you can enjoy the sweeping lake views or relax by the fireplace. French doors lead you to the front porch. The dining room leads to a great room which is perfect for spending time as a group. The gourmet kitchen has professional appliances – 6 burner gas stove, 2 dishwashers, and an oversized refrigerator and freezer. There are two master suites with lake views, private fireplaces, and luxurious ensuite baths. The other 7 bedrooms also have ensuite baths. You cannot beat the luxury and space in this property.

Wow! This property is in the perfect location. Known as The Gaslight House Compound, it consists of two houses: the Gaslight House (5BR/3.5BA) and the Lake Cottage which overlooks Lake Gerar (3BR/2BA). It’s just 1.5 blocks to the boardwalk, and 2 blocks from Rehoboth Avenue. A historic structure, the Gaslight House was gutted and redesigned in 2015 by local artisans. It’s described as the sort of place where you instantly feel comfortable and at home. It boasts a massive front porch, and a large open concept living room, dining room, and kitchen.
