Is it a good time to invest in balanced Advantage fund?
There is a good reason why balanced advantage funds have become popular in the past year or two. In the month of December 2021, BAFs or dynamic asset allocation funds got inflows worth Rs 3,793 crore. This was the second-highest among all equity-oriented and hybrid funds.
Any mutual fund scheme that invests in stocks can't be safe. It also cannot avoid volatility. So, invest in balanced advantage funds only if you can tolerate the risk of investing in stocks. Also, invest only if you have an investment horizon of at least five years.

HDFC Mutual Fund has announced the merger of two of its schemes, HDFC Premier Multi-Cap Fund and HDFC Balanced Fund, to form a new scheme called HDFC Hybrid Equity Fund.
