It opens quickly, definitely has a quality heft to it. And the blade came pretty sharp on it's own. Blade is sharp enough to easily cut through paper. I dont think it's a steal, seems to fit into the price range pretty well, with other knives, but I would definitely recommend this one of you dont know which to get.
