A dynamometer, or "dyno" for short, is a device for measuring force, moment of force (torque), or power. For example, the power produced by an engine, motor or other rotating prime mover can be calculated by simultaneously measuring torque and rotational speed (rpm).

The complete street tune usually takes up to three hours, and since the car feels pretty much like stock, we often do it around the same time. Retuning the car on a tuning process done by someone else results in a customer being horrified when they start driving on an old tune for the first time.

What is a Stage 1 tune?
A stage 1 tune is simply an ECU remap or chip tune. This is the most cost-effective way to modify any vehicle for performance. Turbo-diesel and turbo-petrol vehicles respond extremely well to stage 1 tuning and commonly see a 20 – 40% increase in bhp and torque.
Installing a preset car tune, also known as remapping the ECU, is the most effective and easiest tune an owner can do themselves.
