A cap of Β£900 is to be imposed on the money that prisons hold for residents. Prisoners who have a larger balance in their accounts will be expected to transfer it to a bank. From November 2, those still above the limit will be barred from receiving money sent in by relatives and friends.

Even if you do get a call, your phone number is not yet officially approved.
What Happens if You Have Credit Card Debt When You Go to Prison. As mentioned before, you still have to pay credit cards even when you're in prison, so credit card debt doesn't just go away. You're still responsible for any credit card debt (just as you are before and after your release).

Send clothes to prisoner
Once you have been convicted and arrive at prison, your family or friends should be allowed to send you an initial clothes parcel. If you haven't been convicted yet but are still on remand in prison, you should be able to receive more than just one clothes parcel.
Going to prison does not mean that you automatically lose your home. You will be able to make appropriate arrangements with prison staff to protect your home and make sure you have somewhere to go when you are released. Within a few days of entering prison, the staff should carry out a housing needs assessment.
