Because of its long range, the Tesla Model S has a heavy battery. The Tesla Model 3 has a 1,060 lbs battery pack. The Model X's lithium-ion batteries weigh 1,183 lbs. The Model Y's lithium-ion batteries weigh 2003 kg (4,416 lbs).
