Can you withdraw USD from Wealthsimple?
It's currently not possible to withdraw USD to a USD bank account. Making a withdrawal from a managed account is considered a taxable event, since we need to sell investments to generate a cash balance for the amount you'd like to withdraw.
Since Wealthsimple primarily earns from their foreign exchange, it is likely that Wealthsimple will not allow depositing of USD.

Yes, you can hold and settle trades in U.S. dollars in your TFSA. You can also contribute and withdraw in U.S. dollars if you have an RBC U.S. dollar bank account. In this case, it is the equivalent Canadian dollar value that is recorded for reporting the amounts to the CRA.

Do I own my shares at Wealthsimple? Shares are held in "street name" meaning they are held with Wealthsimple Investments Inc. but owned by you (the purchaser). You still retain ownership and all rights associated, such as dividends and voting rights.
