Can Yes Bank become multibagger?
If you are a real believer in multibaggers, you can try and see. A lot more tick marks are still needed for Yes Bank to become a multibagger. My view on banking remains that one should be in the largecap banks only. There is no advantage today of any mid level or small level bank.
With current financial position, if the Yes Bank is able to trade and sustain around Rs 20/25 range in the near future, then it will be a milestone for the stock.

Yes Bank's asset quality saw an improvement in the first quarter as gross non-performing assets (NPAs) as a percentage of total assets stood at 13.40% in Q1FY23 as against 13.9% in the fourth quarter of last fiscal. The bank's Net NPA ratio also improved to 4.2% in Q1FY23 as compared to 4.5% in Q4FY22.

According to stock market experts, Yes Bank shares are rising due to the private lenders announcement in regard to fund raise and strong Q1 earnings numbers. They said that the stock is currently trading in the range of ₹12.50 to ₹16.20 and it may go up to ₹19 on breakage of the upper hurdle on this range.
As per the restructuring plan, SBI cannot reduce its stake in the bank to below 26 per cent for a period of three years, while other investors and existing shareholders will have a lock-in period of three years for 75 per cent of their investment in YES Bank.

Yes Bank's Q1 results came as surprise to investors. The company's net profit jumped by 50% to ₹3.1 bn which stood at ₹2.1 bn a year ago. Net interest income (NII) for the quarter increased by 32% to ₹18 bn YoY. The provisions of the bank are down by 62% on a YoY basis at ₹1.7 bn.
