Can I link my credit card to Stash?
You can link a debit card to Stash by visiting your subscription plan settings and changing your payment method or updating your existing card.

With a successfully linked external bank, you are able to transfer money into Stash. The external bank appears as an option in Transfers. In some cases, you'll need to provide documentation in order to change your external bank account within 60 days. Please remember, we do this to protect you and us from fraud.
If you have a cash balance on Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal, you can use that money to fund your Stash.

Stash doesn't “steal” your money, but if you have the Auto-Stash feature turned on, the app will automatically round-up purchases made with a linked debit card and/or make scheduled recurring transfers. But that money goes into your portfolio — so it's still yours.
You only need a few things to get started with Stash: Four dollars ($4) – $3 for your monthly subscription fee and at least $1 to put in your Personal investment account. A bank account with a U.S. bank. A Social Security number.
If you still have investments, you'll need to sell those before withdrawing your money. The money from the sale will be held for two business days (in accordance with SEC regulation) before you can move it to your bank account.

It sounds like you either have Auto-Stash or Smart-Save turned on. Auto-Stash is Stash's automatic investment tool. It runs on a set schedule, so head to the app and adjust the timing or turn off Auto-Stash if you'd like to stop automatic deposits/investments.

Absolutely. While we don't currently support linking your PayPal account by signing in, you can send money directly to your Stash banking account from Paypal. That's it.

Checking is not compatible with other mobile payment apps, such as Zelle.

Immediately: Transfers within Stash
Per federal mandate, it takes two days for funds from the sale of an investment to settle in your account.
Moving money within Stash generally is effective immediately but could take up to a few minutes. You can also move money to an external bank from your Stash banking account instantly for a 1% fee. It can take up to 10 minutes for your money to appear in your external account.
The maximum you can withdraw from Stash banking accounts at an ATM or Teller is $500 every 24 hours. The daily spend limit is $10,000 per day. Fees may apply. Daily withdrawal and cash limits apply.

How long do cash outs take? When you cash out all or part of your Stash, the transaction is sent to your bank immediately. However, the money may take up 7 working days (usually a lot quicker than that) to reflect in your bank account.
How do I close my Stash account and get my money?
- Login to your account on the Stash site.
- Select your name on the top right corner.
- Click on 'Subscription' on the left.
- Select 'Manage' next to your subscription plan.
- Click on 'Close my Stash for good' at the bottom of the page.
After 2 business days, the money should be available and will show in your Portfolio cash. You can then use it to purchase a new investment. In your personal portfolio only, if the money is not subject to any other holds*, it will also be labeled as available to transfer.
While you won't have access to savings accounts, checking accounts and other wealth management tools like you would with Stash or Acorns, Robinhood is far and away the best when it comes to pure investing. You can trade as you like, with very few restrictions when compared to Stash or Acorns.

How do I instantly transfer Stash?
