Why Are The Chinese Buying As Much Land As They Can In Oklahoma? (2024)

So why exactly are the Chinese buying up so much land in Oklahoma? Over the past couple of years, more and more rural property and acreage have been bought by China, which leaves people wondering why.

Is there some communist plot to invade the U.S. by buying up all the land? Are they using it to farm and produce food for their country? Or maybe they're looking to experience the country life. One thing is for sure, a lot of land in the Sooner State has been purchased by the Chinese and it's not looking like it's going to stop.

I know it sounds like some crazy rip-off 80's B-Action flick like an "Okie Reddawn" but from what I've seen and heard there's a little truth to all the rumors and rumblings. I first heard about this late last year and really didn't think too much about it, until it recently resurfaced in my YouTube feed. Seems this rabbit hole is deep.

At first, I thought it was Chinese-Americans buying land and thought what's the big deal, that's not a problem or concern. Well, it's starting to look like there's more to the story than that. So what's the story then?

As strange as it sounds a lot of people are claiming the Chinese are buying up all the land to grow marijuana on. They then harvest it and sell it on the black market to fund other endeavors. So Oklahoma's medical marijuana industry has created this problem. At least that's what some people are saying.

How crazy is that? I do know of a few people who were contacted by some Chinese people who wanted to buy their land. When told it wasn't for sale they continued to call, send letters and attempt to buy it.

I was just on YouTube and ran across a few different videos about this. "Why Are The Chinese Buying Rural Land in Oklahoma." Another video popped up called "CHINA Buys LAND in OKLAHOMA To Grow And Sell MARIJUANA On The BLACK MARKET For Millions!" And those are just a few of the videos that popped up.

Just click on the titles to watch the videos. So what do you think? Is there any truth to this conspiracy in your opinion? This is what happens when you're on YouTube going down rabbit holes, you end up in a weird place.
