When Does Walmart Restock Online?

Times for restocking online products vary depending on the item. To put it another way, high-demand items take precedence over low-demand items. Furthermore, some items are labeled “Low Stock” or “Out of Stock” on the website.

In my online shopping experience, you can’t always depend on the low/out-of-stock labels. There were times when I tried to purchase an item I thought was in stock, but it turned out to be unavailable.

It’s a matter of trial and error at times. (Fortunately, I can sometimes get substitutions for said items.)

There’s another way to check the in-stock status online, which is easier than the method I use, ha!

Though not available for every item, Walmart offers a feature called In-stock Alerts. Just click on the “Get In-Stock Alert” tab, enter your email address, and monitor your email account for an alert. You can also email or chat with customer service.

If you want, you can download the Walmart app to track the in-stock status of items. Once you get the app, type the item’s name into the “Search My Store” component. It’ll even show you the aisle location at your local Walmart. Cool!

Like when shopping online, the stocking schedule varies from store to store. That said, the average time is between 10 at night and 7 in the morning seven days a week for grocery items. (Non-grocery items are stocked around 7 am to 1 pm.) It also takes about a couple of days for Walmart employees to restock in-store items.

Additionally, I suggest you shop at your local Walmart around 7 am to 11 am on weekdays and weekends, if possible.

Why?

Because during the early morning on weekdays, most people are at work or school; on the weekends, they’re likely sleeping in late. As a result, you can beat the rush plus have an easier time snagging bargain goods. While you’re there, you can also ask an employee to assist you in locating a certain item.

But there might be a time when you either can’t go to a store due to a scheduling conflict or you feel like staying at home. That’s okay because you can call the number of your local Walmart.
