When do you say 'you're more than enough'? (2024)

This is an expression that is quite specific to the context. Oftentimes, I hear this expression if Person A asks for help (moving something, figuring something out, etc.) and Person B offers to help Person A. Person B says, "I can go get more people to help, if you'd like." Person A can respond by saying, "Oh, no. You're more than enough." This would mean that Person B will be sufficient in completing the task because it does not require too much effort to be completed.Like Aileen stated prior to my response, one could use this expression to compliment a person. Again, this would be very specific to the situation. For example, you are in a relationship and your significant other expresses some sort of self-doubt. Maybe they are insecure in the relationship. You could respond by saying, "You're more than enough (for me)." Then, you could explain all of the things that attracts you to the person. Then, this expression would mean that the person is everything that you could ever ask for in a relationship and many other qualities that builds upon your attraction to the person. So, as you can see - this expression has many meanings depending on the situation. I hope this helps, Frank. Good luck!
