How does what3words handle buildings of more than one floor, such as apartment blocks?
Most addressing systems only work in two dimensions (longitude and latitude) and need additional information to specify height: Flat 6, 5th floor, 12 Lonsdale Road. A similar approach can be used with 3 word addresses: Flat 6, 5th floor, index.home.raft.
There is a 3 word address for all locations, but the supporting technology for indoor positioning, mapping, and navigation is not yet developed enough for there to be a benefit in specifying an address beyond the front door.
